Our friend, Cesar Villalobos, came to town to perform at the Bangor Garden Show. Meaghan was so excited, as she has been an honorary member of his band for quite a number of years now. She believes that she is going to join Cesar on the road when she turns 18.... and in all truth, has the biggest crush on him :)
So, we went to the Garden Show to hang out with him ... then took him and his girlfriend out to dinner after. We had a wild time at Cap't Nicks. We were given a room all our own (they saw that we had a 2-year old in tow) and we stayed until closing. Cesar told us some amazing stories, including stories of all the famous people that he has met and played for... Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Paul Simon, Robert Plant, etc. Meaghan was so taken in by this, as Cesar had never told us these stories before.
One of my favorite moments of the evening was when we walked into the restaurant and Cesar commented that we looked like a United Nations delegation ... A Turk, a German, a Peruvian, a Penobscot, a Haitian and a Brit (I'll let you figure out who is who :)
Another highlight was the footage we got of Isaac & Meaghan joining Cesar on stage. They are such musical children. I am so proud of them.
