Colorful quilled gift cards

It's all done! Yay! All the gift cards are all done and ready for delivery. They will be delivered by hand. I sure hope my customer will love them. I had a great time making them. It's so easy to do and it's all about playing with colors.

I wish I had time to do more but time is kinda limited right now and I'm only able to make 25 pieces of them. There is one of them that is soft lilac in color but the color doesn't seem to show very well in the photos.  In the photos it looks like blue. Don't know why. This is always the case whenever I take photos of that particular color paper. :(

My favourite would be the soft blue and the yellow ochre. Love those two color combination a lot :).

Congrats!

C002

Ok...I got carried away yesterday with this "CONGRATS!" clear stamp. I just started stamping it over and over again on small pieces of white paper hehehe......thinking that I would use them someday on any designs in future.

Then I got this simple idea of doing these small gift cards that I can use for weddings. You see, I don't like giving presents to couples on their wedding day. I prefer to give them money instead so that they can use it to buy whatever that suits their fancy . And I would usually put the money in this small gift card and at the same time the gift card acts as a congratulation card that I can use to write on simple wishes in it. So it's a double function card hehehehe.

I also love the fact that I finally was able to use those small peach color flower stems that I bought long time ago. When I look at all the embellishments I have.....I can see that I bought a lot but have not used them yet.....they just sit there waiting to be utilize hehehe. I just have no idea of what to do with them  just yet....hehehehe......but the ideas will come....eventually :) God willing :).

Cute cards

Ever since I got my hand powered paper shredder, I just couldn't stop shredding papers....at least a few times a day...LOL! I just love looking at how the paper shreds and drops into the transparent casing hahahaha.....silly huh??? Yup....I can be so silly sometimes hehehehe......sometimes the simplest things can give me great pleasure. :)

I tried making gift cards for myself to use and sell. My previous gift cards were smaller in size and I've never done quilling on them before. So I tried to make these for a customer of mine who loves to order gift cards from me. These gift cards are so easy to do especially since the design is so simple. And since I got the paper shredder to help me cut the paper......it's a lot faster to get the quillings done on the card.

I don't know about what you guys think of this design but I somehow love the card just the way it is. Just one flower with a stem and two leaves. So simple and cute. This is the first time I'm experimenting doing stems using the quilling technique. I usually make the stems using colored pen. But, somehow it doesn't look as nice, so I tried to make a simple stem with brown paper....and I kinda like how it looks! hehehehe! Simple!

Quilling is definitely a simple way to decorate a plain blank card and make it look fancy with a fraction of the cost because it's all made of paper. :) I'm loving it!

Cute thank you card...

SGC010

I made this thank you gift card for my aunt......she ordered a few of them to give away to her friends. I made a quick and simple card using white embossed paper. I love this paper because of the embossed design on it. :) No need to decorate too much on the card because the emboss is already considered as decoration.....hehehe!

Bright colors...

SGC009

Another one of my new small cute little gift cards......I adore this color combination a lot....in fact I made another card which is a birthday card with these color combination too.....bright orange, dark pink and white. Love it! :)

Another sweet gift card....

SGC008

Ok....this is another small gift card design I made using my new flower and leaf craft punch......the flowers are layered one on top of the other. I enjoy doing that and matching the colors. I'm sorry the color of the card here is slightly off because of the lighting problem. I still need to find a better place in my house where I can take photos with better lighting area to get the best effect. I cut the two bottom corners of the card using patterned scissors to make the design look more interesting. :)

Cute little daisy....

SGC007b

SGC007a

Alhamdulillah.....the internet connection is working again :). So today I am able to post some gift cards that I made for my aunt's friend. She loves to order them in quite a large quantity....and place money in them to give away as a gift to the newlyweds. It's a simple design.....scattered paper daisy flowers that I made using a small craft punch. I wanted to make more of this design with different color papers but I only have two organza ribbons of white and gold color. She loves pastel color cards.....so I will be posting two more designs of gift cards that I made for her after this.... :)

I came up with another idea! I used the same technique....the same white embossed paper and same ribbon wrap idea except, instead of using white ribbons, I used a variety of soft sweet colored ribbons. I used purple, blue, green and peach, pink....so sweet! :) To match it up even more, I used matching colored handmade envelopes. Don't they just look so cute? hehehe......

Layers and layers of hearts....

It's been weeks since I last updated my blog.....I have been so busy making cards and keeping up with the orders plus I was also busy with the new blog I set up especially for my bead craft. Below are some few new card designs that I made recently for a new customer of mine. She loved the design I made for SGC003 (blue colour) as you can view here

It was a big order and she decided to have them in a variety of colours. So I gave it a go and came up with all these new colour combinations for SGC003. It now comes in colours of peach, yellow, beige, soft green and soft pink too. I packed them up 5 pieces in a packet with their handmade envelopes. It was quite a tough task to do this design in the amount of order requested.....I thought that it would be easy....never did I imagine the load of work that needs to be done for such a simple design. Layers and layers of heart shape paper was needed to make the main design and that itself has taken so much of my time. It indeed was a learning process for me, and I managed to come up with some ideas of how to make them at a faster speed. As you can see, some of the designs I managed to take their photos in a much better angle but some I didn't have the time to do so......so I just snap them before posting them to my customer.....so that's why you see some of them in their plastic packaging hehehehe...........sorry people.....I will upload new photos of them as soon as I can!

A cute thank you card.....

SGC005 (SOLD OUT)

A cute customer of mine requested a few of this cute little apple green A7 size card from me recently....she was so in love with the birthday card design I made for my aunt's birthday, that she wanted the same design for her thank you card....except that colors she wished for are apple green and turquoise....this was quite a daunting task as the flowers that I had to do and work with were very petite and quite a struggle to paste on the card......lots of patience needed for this one hehehehe! :) Even though it was difficult to do... I am very happy with how it turned out.... :)

Half the size....

SGC004

This cute A7 size card is a smaller version of my Valentine card that I made a while back.....this cute card can also be used for other occasions....not necessarily be used only on Valentine's day... :)

Flowers in a row

SGC002

Another A7 size gift card that I would like to share this month! :) It's a first time for me to actually use the beige colored raffia I bought long ago...been keeping it safe for new projects! I've seen them being used to make ribbons and such...so I gave it try for this design...I love it! It matches the small beige flowers and it's easy to use too! I'll be using it more of it in other future projects... :)

Shiny purple flowers

SGC001
Loved the shiny purple flowers crossing each other by the stems like two lovers united in love :). I would make this type of card that is quite small in size which is only A7 and use it to put in money in it for the bride and groom on their wedding day. There is even a paper insert in the inside of the card for writing on our wishes for the happy couple. It's like 2 in 1, a card and a gift in it too!! :) Suitable for busy people like me who just does not have the time to think of what to buy for them, so by just giving money it saves me lots of time and headache of wondering what to get them! hehehe! And the bride and groom can use the money to buy anything they like for their new home etc.

I have a few more of these types of cards that I use for weddings but have not yet published them here. Will do so soon!
