Custom officer's retirement and birthday card..

This is one of the hardest figure drawing I've ever had to do! :) I did have a good time on the it though. The front design was simple, but time consuming. Notice how all the heart shapes comes in different sizes? Because all were cut using plain only scissors. No craft punch involved. All cut individually by hand.

The colors of the hearts were determined by my customer. She wanted the same design like V021 but instead of just white and red hearts, she wanted also pink to be included together. It looks so cheerful! :)

My customer gave me photos of her father when he was much younger and was working as a custom officer. He was young and slim back then hehehe.....so you can see the contrast of how he looks now when he has retired from the service. I drew the figures with the help of the photos she gave me of her father. I tried my best to make it looks as close as possible to the real person. I really hope he likes it! :)

Another order from my aunt's friend.....Kak An :). This card is for their colleague who will be retiring this month. He has worked at that company since 1984......it's been 25 years...WOW! That's a long time to be working at the same place......such a loyal employee :).

I tried this new soft blue paper I got recently for this card design and mixed it with combination of silver, purple and white. I experimented with the ribbons and made the stripe patterns on the bottom design of the card using those 1/8 inch ribbons mixed with strips of color papers. Am loving that idea very much hehehe.......as it saves me a lot of time cutting out the paper strips.

This card is about half the size of an A4 paper, and comes with a purple handmade envelope. There is also a white paper inserted on the inside of the card for writing on personal wishes. :)

Sam's retirement card

Here he is again with the card opened, showing off the inside of the card....with all the signatures and wishes he got from his colleagues... :)

I got a special request from my aunt to make a retirement card for her colleague who is retiring soon. I haven't use a lot of purple color cards in my handmade card designs so for this particular request I decided to use it! I got a tip from my aunt that Sam love flowers, so I added some in it, not too much that it would look so feminine...hehehe...just a little touch!:)

For the inside I made lines of boxes so that there would be spaces for his friends to write wishes and sign their names in it for him. This is so that the people who contributed their signatures or wishes would have ample space to write and all would look organized and neat inside the card. I am so happy to know that Sam's colleagues loved the card and it made Sam happy too with all the lovely wishes in it! That's enough to make my day! :)
